Dear Carter

Dear Carter,

Today you turned 2 months old, and mommy and daddy cannot believe how big you have gotten. You have grown into a handsome, and very smart little boy and we could not be more proud. I mean you should see our house filled with pictures of you, our phones that are full of pictures of you, and that fancy camera we got before you were, well it contains over 600 pictures of just you!!!!

Too cute, I know!

Looking at your scrapbook last night brought daddy and I so many memories of all the things you have already done in just a short period of time. You attended your first Hupp/Schmidt Pumpkin Patch, your first South City Hayride, your first Halloween and Thanksgiving, your very special Baptism and of course many outings with mommy and daddy.

You have shared with us your first smile, coo and we are now getting to hear that adorable laugh of yours. You have grown into your little lungs in which you use frequently to tell us that you are hungry, or that you have too much poop in your diaper, or better yet when you are just mad and need to be in your swing for a bit by yourself! You have grown in and out of many outfits that all of your lovely family and friends have bought for you. You love laying on mommy and daddy's chest to sleep and prefer their bed over yours. You love sucking on your hand (not just your thumb anymore, your whole hand) and you prefer that hand over your bink when given the choice. You LOVE swinging in your swing and oddly enough your car seat is a place that is warm and comfy to you as well!! You are a pro at feeding, but still get distracted at times and have a hard time focusing on just eating, but overall you are great and mommy thanks your for that!! You are a fan of your crib on occasions, but dislike your changing table for some reason. You love to be in clothes, but hate getting dressed, and despise getting your diaper changed! You love your little mobiles, and love listening to your sound machine, but are not a fan of sitting down and being read to...YET!!! But, most of all you have learned who your mommy and daddy are and prefer them over all the other people who want to cuddle and love you.

We cannot believe how much you have changed in this short period of time as well, your little cheeks look the same, but boy have you grown. You have grown from 20 and 3/4 inches to a whopping 23 and 3/4 inches. We knew you were going to be a big boy when you came into the world, when you came out weighing 9 lbs and 3 ounces, and yet you have not stopped growing since, now weighing in at 13 pounds and 9 ounces!!

Look How Long I Am

We love you little guy and we know that you are going to continue to grow and continue to become the little man that we have always hoped for and we cannot wait to watch and be a part of it all. We want you to know that we love you and we are so excited for all the things you are going to get to experience, and we are so proud to be called  your parents. No one told us how much our life would change when you came into the world, and yet it has truly only changed for the better. Thank you for being such a great little guy and we look forward to celebrating your first Christmas in the next month!!
