Since I only work four days a week Carter and I had the opportunity a few weeks ago to make a trip to the zoo on what was one of the most beautiful days of the year (so far). We, along with the rest of St. Louis moms were at the zoo, so it was a tad bit busy, but a whole lot of fun!!! We hadn't been to the zoo since Carter has been up and walking and it sure was a lot of fun. He wanted to walk a good chunk of the way, which was fine, but next time I will be bringing the wagon not the stroller. Its pretty hard to hold a toddlers hand and push a stroller at the same time!!
Carter loved looking at all the animals!
At first the Carousel was a bit scary for this little dude at first, but as you can see he one handed it when it got going. Too cool for school!!
While we were waiting for the train to pick us up, this little guy decided it was a must to play in the dirt an gather some rocks for his big ride!
The Children's Zoo was a HUGE hit!! We spent a good chunk of time here as Carter got to see animals more up close than he could with all the other animals. The bunnies in their cages were his favorite. He spent a lot of time cleaning up around their cages and just looking at them. It was pretty cute!
Trying to be a big kid and climb on the ungle gym, but his little legs just wouldn't let him!!
Someone got a huge hit out of feeding the hay to the goats. I had a hard time getting him to leave this area.
After we visited all the animals, a shocking four hours had gone by, so we grabbed some lunch at the ZOO restaurant and sat at a table outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather. It was such a fun day, the only thing that could of made it better was having daddy there to play with us!! I am so excited to bring him back and for our upcoming outings in the summer!!
Till next Time
J
