Tooting Our Horns

Hello Tuesday!!!!!! This mama (and daddy too) are totally refreshed!! I don't mean to toot my horn so early (and after only one night) but...

Out prayers must have been answered, because our little man slept all through the night last night! I am not sure if it really had anything to do with the cereal he got to eat at dinner time last night or not, but he slept from 9:50 pm and didn't get up until 6:40 am and that's only because we had to wake him up to go to Grandmas house, so I could go to work!!!!

We also tried the cry it out method last night and it worked! I am not going to lie it was really hard, but we made it through it and he did a great job! We put little guy to sleep around 8:45 last night because he had fallen asleep in my arms after we read some books (Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?) and he slept till about 9:15 or so, and he woke up (like he always does). Then Michael went in there and soothed him to sleep (after a quick diaper change), by rubbing his belly and giving him his pacifier. That didn't last very long, because then he started  to really cry, so we let him cry it out for about 10 minutes then we went in there and rubbed his belly and gave him his "bink" back. That happened a few more times, where we had to just go in there and soothe him, but soon enough it was 9:50 and he was sound asleep!! 

We managed to get through night number one, and we are going to stick it out because we know that he needs to be in his own bed, and we know that eventually he will learn to like to sleep in his big boy bed, like he used to!
