Pre-Halloween Fun

This past weekend we did a bunch of Halloween stuff to get ourselves in the mood for this weeks upcoming Halloween festivities! Carter enjoyed getting to wear his Halloween costume, he is going as Brewster off of his favorite train show, Chuggington. Mason is going as a monkey, which is one of Brewster's favorite safari characters on the show!!

We started the weekend off at Grants Farm for their Halloween Festivities!! We got to ride the Tram through the animal park in the dark, feed the goats, ride the carousel, and  mommy and daddy got their free beers to enjoy! Carter had a blast!!

Then Saturday morning we did our annual Trick or Treating at the Zoo!! The zoo has a Candy Trail in which all these vendors from St. Louis set up in a trail and the kids can walk through the trail and fill up their candy buckets! This year was a lot of fun because the kids were able to actually walk the trail!!

We then wrapped up the weekend with our pumpkin carving. As excited as Carter was to pick out the "perfect" pumpkin he was not as excited to carve it. He did not want to stick his little hand in the pumpkin and get all the pumpkin "brains" out, so mommy had to do it! He wanted a scary pumpkin face so I made just that. Mason had his little pumpkin, but we did not carve that one out! He did get to sit in on the action though!

I am looking forward to trick or treating Thursday night with him! He sure loved the idea of having people put candy in his bucket, so it should be pretty eventful!!

Happy Halloween
