At 15 months old, you have become quite the little boy that your daddy and I always pictured you to be. You are ALL boy! You love being dirty, but love bathtime even more! You are pretty destructive with your toys and love throwing EVERYTHING! You are quite the sports nut, just like your dad. You stop and watch the TV anytime daddy has a sports event on, and love playing catch with your baseball and football and are learning how to kick your soccer ball. Grandma and Grandpa Tolie got you a basketball net for Christmas, and we put it together for you over the weekend and boy do you love it. Even though the ball doesn't go in the net you still get a big kick out of trying!
| Our Pictures are becoming less and less easy to take!! You are more interested in being mobile! |
You are the sweetest boy to your mama and dada, you love giving us kisses and are slowly learning how to close your mouth when you do this! You love giving hugs, and still love snuggling with us on the couch. You are a one hundred percent mamas boy, and walk around aimlessly saying, "Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma." You love for me to hold you and snuggle you when your happy or sad, you love when we dance together, but secretly I know you love playing with daddy more than me. You like when he is rough with you and he knows how to play with boy toys better than me. While you are by far the sweetest boy, you can be quite a little booger when you want. You have learned how to throw tantrums (and even though they are not funny, you look pretty cute when you throw them). You have learned how to "fake" cry to get your way, and even started hitting whatever is around you when you are mad. You don't hit people, but you do get close sometimes and once we tell you, "No, NO" you immediately get shy or get sad and try to say "sorry." When you know your are in trouble you always put your hand over your eye and look really sad, I think you mastered this so that we won't yell at you when you are doing something your not supposed to.
You are beginning to really talk and it is so fun to have "almost" a really conversation with you. We can now ask you if you want something and you tell us NO with your head if you don't want it and if you do, you usually stop and take us to what you want. You can now say: Thank You, Please, Cup, Milk, Yes, Stop, Sissy, Missy, Truck, bink, Ma- Ma, Da-Da, and Pa-Pa.
You love playing with your cars and trucks, and love pushing them around the house or racing them on your race track Santa bought. You are working on your shape sorter, and are getting really good at it. You are still not 100 percent into your puzzles, but will sit with Ma-Ma and work on them. You got a tool bench for Christmas and love, love, love playing with it! You like being just like daddy and grandpa playing with your tools!! You love talking on the phone and get a big kick out of Facetime when we call Daddy! You are still pretty obsessed with the laptop, and are content with your laptop if we let you sit next to us. You also are loving brushing your teeth still and would brush them every time we go in the bathroom if I let you. Daddy also taught you how to flush the toilet. You think it is a lot of fun! The bad part is that you don't want us to go to the bathroom alone, because you want to flush when we are done. You also have learned how to pick up/clean up your toys without us asking you to do so. Your also really into the broom and love helping me sweep the floor, you are quite the little helper!! You LOVE your sissy (as you call her), Missy, and love getting her toys for her and throwing them at her for her to catch. She sometimes gets annoyed with you because you won't leave her alone, but she sure does love you!!!
Up until this week (almost 16 months) you had been napping twice a day. You have seemed to dwindle off of that and now only give us one good nap and that is usually in the afternoon. You are sleeping through the night, and getting up anywhere from 630-8 in the morning. You are a little booger when it comes to food. Sometimes you will eat so much I think your going to get a belly ache and other times you hardly eat all. You love your fruit pouches and still love your mac in cheese. You used to be obsessed with animal crackers now your really into your fruit snacks. You are slowly but surely starting to love veggies. You will ear corn and sometimes green beans. You still aren't a huge fan of meat, but will at least try it when I put it on your plate. You are still rocking two big glasses of milk a day and on special occasions you get a chocolate milk. Another special occasion item you love is McDonald's, you absolutely love the apples that come in the happy meal, and you are obsessed with the cheeseburgers. You can eat a whole one all by yourself, but your not a fan of the fries!!
You have had a few bouts of sickness over the past few months, an Ear infection that resulted in some antibiotics and boy were you not a happy camper with that. You battled it and everything was fine! Our biggest "sickness" has been those teeth of yours, that have been oh so slowly showing up. At your 15 month check up the ped said you had three more coming in! Those teeth are bad news bears for you!
You weighed in at 22.12 at your last visit to the doctor. You lost some weight when you were sick and have been gaining it back ever since. You are still rocking mostly 12 month clothes, but are slowly getting into the 12-18 month stuff. It seems as though the 18 month stuff is too long in the sleeves and legs!! You are rocking size 4 diapers still! You are still obsessed with your blanket and are becoming more attached to that bink, which you only get at night and at naptime, but you are more into it lately and it is driving us nuts!! We aren't binkie people and would love to just throw it away, but I tried no BINK one day and it was hell!! We are gonna try again soon!!
I am sure I missed a whole ton of stuff, but little man you are amazing and we cannot get enough of you. As we all prepare for your new little brother or sister know that we love you so much and you are so very special to us! We truly cannot imagine our life without you in it!!! Keep growing, and keep surprising us, you are a true JOY!!
We Love You,
Mom and Dad
