We carried on the Schmidt family vacation and loaded up the car and headed to Hilton Head a week after Mason's birthday. The car ride was not too bad with the kiddos this year, but definitely not how I would prefer to travel. If we didn't have to take so much stuff with us every time we go on vacation it would be more ideal to fly. Maybe when they are older.... maybe!!
We started our leg of the trip on a Thursday evening and arrived in Hilton Head on Friday early afternoon after a nights stay in Tennessee. We spent our vacation spending lots of time at the pool, searching for sea shells on the beach, eating a lot of good food, drinking a lot of cocktails, and most of all relaxing and spending time with our family!! It was a lot more fun this year with Mason as he was older and more self sufficient, and didn't have to take so many naps - which made for early mornings at the pool and late naps in the afternoon.
Already looking forward to our next year!
