This year we went on our first family vacation as a family of four. It was a great 7 days with my boys, and a lot of memories were made, and I am so thankful that we were able to go have some fun and relax!
We drove to Hilton Head, SC- yes, you read that right, we drove. It was not a bad drive at all. On the way down there we stopped outside of Nashville and stayed the night, then woke up really early around 3 am and drove the rest of the way. We had to of course make a few stops for bathrom breaks and for Mason to stretch his legs, but other than that Carter was amazing and such a good little car rider - thank goodness for ipads, kindles and of course FROZEN.
We stayed at a Marriott Surfwatch Condos and enjoyed the pool and the beach right at the palm of our hands. We dined out, cooked in, played, swam, drank some cocktails, got some sleep and really just enjoyed our time! We made a lot of memories (including the ocean jellyfish sting I indured) and I know the boys had a great time, especially getting to spend some quality time with us, their cousins, and of course their Maw-Maw.
We are looking forward to going back next year, and look forward to creating many more memories as a family!
