You turned five months old this week and I cannot believe that you have become such a big boy already. You are not only sleeping in your bed (again), you are eating big boy food (well, baby food) and playing like crazy with your toys. You love your exersaucer and have figured out that you can make the toys make noise and lightup, and you figured out that if you throw yourself around really hard it will bounce and your seat will circle around!! You now love playing on a blanket on the floor, surrounded by all your toys that light up and play sounds and music. You love looking at everyone and everything around you. You love watching Missy play around the house around you and I think you secretly wish that she would just play with you. You are very easily entertained by your mom and dad, we love singing and dancing with you and at you. We do so because we get the cutest giggles out of you when we do. You are a very happy baby and you laugh, smile and giggle ALL the time. You are tickelish underneath your arms, on the bottoms of your feet and in between your little rolls on your thighs. Really you are tickelish everywhere, but you have to be in the mood to be tickeled, and we know now when your not in the mood! You love to eat, and you eat like a champ! I think that if we kept the baby food coming, you would keep eating!! You love watching Cat in the Hat, Clifford and Sid the Science Kid in the mornings before we go to work! You love being in the car, as much as you love being in mommy and daddys bed (and that is alot), and we have found that if we are in the car long enough you put yourself sleep (well, unless you are hungry, then you just scream bloody murder till we get you home). You love your little sock monkey, Rusty; your Cardinal Bear Bear lovie, your cardinal blanket and of course your bink; which you have now figured out how to put in your mouth yourself. You are still sucking on your fingers and we think now you have figured out how to concentrate on just the thumb (I have a feeling your going to be a thumb sucker, like your mommy used to be). You are growing oh so fast, and growing out of your clothes right and left. You are in 6-9 month clothes (even some of those are too short) We have a feeling you are going to be tall; and have moved from size two diapers to size three diapers!
Your daddy and I love watching you grow, and we love watching you learn all the new things that you have been learning! You are really showing off your lovable and funny little personality! We look forward to the months ahead and all of the things you are not only going to learn, but teach us as well.
Keep smiling and laughing little guy, because life is a lot of fun and we cannot wait to share in all that fun with you!!!!
